Invest in Other Women

When we asked, more than half of you told us that you want to “invest in other women.”

We heard you! And we agree!

The Pax Ellevate Global Women’s Index Fund. It (the Fund) invests in the highest-rated 400-plus companies in the world for advancing women, while providing broad global equity exposure. It is the first and only fund of its kind.

The Fund is the result of a partnership between Pax World Management and Ellevate Asset Management.  Pax and Ellevate came together to form Pax Ellevate Management because they share the same vision about the critical role that gender diversity plays in business success over time, as well as the investment opportunity associated with investing in women.

90% of women globally say that “making a positive impact on society is important.”

77% of women globally and more than 50% of women in the U.S. say they “want to invest in organizations with diversity in senior leadership.”

“Harnessing the Power of the Purse,” Center for Talent Innovation, May 2014

We're offering this because you asked for it. But we’re also doing it because, quite frankly, we firmly believe that investing in women is smart. This builds on the research that indicates that companies with more women in senior roles are more successful in many ways: Higher returns on equity. Lowered risk. Greater innovation. Greater long-term orientation. Greater client focus.

And there's an argument that companies with more women in senior leadership have lower gender pay disparities throughout their companies. So their impact is broadly felt on topics of importance to us.

All of the companies in the Fund have one or more women on their board of directors. Further, 33% of board seats and 26% of executive management positions are held by women, as compared to global averages of 15% and 16%%, respectively.

How can you invest in the fund? The Ellevate network already is!

A portion of the network’s revenues will be invested in the fund. So by investing in yourself by joining the network, you are helping us invest in other women. Together we are directing investment capital to those companies that do the best jobs in advancing women.

Want to invest directly? As a member of the network, you have the opportunity to invest in the institutional share class of the fund if you invest directly through Pax World Management. (In English, that means you pay lower fees*, because you are a member of the network.) If you invest through a financial advisor, you should discuss the best option available with your advisor. If either you or your advisor have questions about share class options please feel free to contact Kathleen McQuiggan or Kelly Coyne.

For modern investors, it’s no longer about earning a fair investment return OR having an impact; it’s about a fair return AND an impact. This fund represents a market-based solution to the business opportunity and challenge of diversity, a topic all of us at Ellevate care about.
